Kaleiçi, with its narrow streets, mansions, and windows hidden by bougainvillea, awakens the spirit of discovery in its visitors. On its different routes, one can trace the footsteps of human history in Antalya’s historic city center. Blending the marks of the past with the rhythm of today, Kaleiçi is once again opening its doors to world cities for the 10th time.
The Kaleiçi Old Town Festival, organized by Muratpaşa Municipality between October 9–12, will feature an orienteering race for the first time this year. In the competition, which will also welcome delegations from around the world, participants will search for checkpoints with the help of maps and compasses in the narrow streets of this living ancient city. Open to local residents as well, applications for the race are available at spor.muratpasa-bld.gov.tr. Winners of the competition will be awarded various prizes.
