Antalya’s historic city center, Kaleiçi – a place where traces of the past blend with the rhythm of today – is opening its doors to world cities for the 10th time. Organized by Muratpaşa Municipality, the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival will be held between October 9–12.

Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality is opening the historic streets of Kaleiçi to sports within the scope of the 10th International Kaleiçi Old Town Festival. For the first time this year, an orienteering competition will be held in the narrow, maze-like streets. Applications for the race, which will take place on Sunday, October 12, have already started at spor.muratpasa-bld.gov.tr.

Kaleiçi Came Alive with Art, Music, and Culture for Four Days – The 10th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival Has Ended

Organized by Muratpaşa Municipality in Antalya’s historic city center — where one side opens to the Mediterranean and the other stretches into history with its mansions, bougainvillea-covered streets, and squares — the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival has come to an end. With the participation of 26 cities from 21 countries, the festival enlivened Kaleiçi’s historic atmosphere for four days with a rich program ranging from concerts and exhibitions to street performances and dance shows.

Antalya Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal stated during the Peace Forum held as part of the 10th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival that, “I believe peace consists of three main pillars: peace between national governments, economic peace, and intercultural peace. As cities, we have much to contribute to world peace. These strong urban fabrics, these strong urban spirits can add a great deal to world peace through solidarity.”

The traditional parade of the 10th Kaleiçi Old Town Festival, organized by Antalya Muratpaşa Municipality, filled the streets of the living ancient city Kaleiçi with dazzling colors. Stilt walkers, fire magicians, and jugglers in vibrant costumes, accompanied by a marching band, greeted residents and transformed the streets of Kaleiçi into a fairytale carnival.
